Early Life, Education and Professional Journey

Engineer Oluwafemi Ojekunle is a humanitarian, community development advocate, and technology professional whose life and leadership are driven by a deep commitment to service, compassion, and social impact.

Born in January 1978, he was raised in a family that valued resilience, hard work, and faith. His early life was shaped by experiences that taught him the importance of perseverance, community support, and caring for those facing difficult circumstances. Despite financial challenges during his educational journey and the loss of his father before pursuing higher education, he remained determined to build a better future through learning, discipline, and faith.

He began his educational journey at Army Children’s School and later attended Bishop Phillips Academy, where he completed his secondary education. He subsequently earned an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Business Administration before advancing his professional development in the United States. There, he studied Cybersecurity Assurance at Baltimore City Community College, laying the foundation for a distinguished career in information technology and cybersecurity.

Over the years, Engineer Ojekunle has built extensive experience across both private and public sector institutions in the United States. His professional career has included roles in systems administration, cybersecurity, and information technology support, serving organizations and government agencies including the United States Department of Defense, Department of the Army, Department of Veterans Affairs, and the United States Air Force. He currently serves as a Senior System Administrator and possesses professional certifications in areas such as Security+, Network+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

While achieving professional success, Engineer Ojekunle never lost sight of the realities faced by vulnerable individuals and families. His passion for humanitarian work stems from personal experiences and a lifelong conviction that those who are blessed have a responsibility to support those in need. Having witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by widows and struggling families, he developed a deep desire to provide practical assistance, encouragement, and hope to people facing hardship.

Guided by the biblical principle that “he who gives to the needy lends to the Lord,” he founded White Horse Charity Foundation as an expression of faith in action. What began as a personal commitment to support widows and vulnerable individuals has grown into a structured community-focused initiative dedicated to welfare support, community outreach, youth engagement, healthcare interventions, and humanitarian service. The Foundation’s work is largely funded through his personal contributions and reflects his belief that meaningful impact begins with individual responsibility and compassionate action.
